To maintain the prolonged patina finish and fully enjoy the beauty and tranquility of your bronze sculpture, we recommend following these care guidelines:
Do's
Dust Regularly: Use a soft, clean cloth or brush to gently remove dust from the sculpture.
Clean Spills Immediately: If any liquid (milk, tea, coffee, etc.) accidentally spills on the sculpture, wipe it off quickly with a cloth and clean the surface with warm water. Allow it to dry thoroughly.
Handle with Care: Always use a cloth or gloves when lifting or moving the sculpture. This prevents the wax coating from being tampered with, ensuring the longevity of the patina finish.
Don'ts
Avoid Liquid Rituals: Do not perform abhishekams with liquids such as milk, water, oil, curd, or honey. These can damage the wax coating, exposing the metal to acidic reactions, which may lead to discoloration and oxidation.
Limit Bare-Hand Touching: Avoid touching the sculpture frequently with bare hands. The natural sweat and oils from your skin are acidic and can react with the metal, altering the patina.
Keep Out of Direct Sunlight: This sculpture is designed for indoor display and should not be placed in direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Extended UV exposure may affect the antique finish and degrade the metal’s surface.
By following these simple steps, you can preserve the timeless elegance of your bronze masterpiece for years to come.
Your sculpture will be shipped within 3 to 5 days of receiving the order, provided it is in stock. If not, please allow up to 2 weeks for the creation of a new sculpture before dispatch.
In the unlikely event that your sculpture is damaged during transit, Vneesh's Galerie takes full responsibility for replacing your order at no additional cost. However, please note that we do not take responsibility for any breakage or damage caused by the customer after the sculpture has been delivered.
Creating the bronze masterpiece, Guruvayoor Kannan, was a meticulous 60-day journey. The process began with sculpting a polymer clay model, setting the posture, expression, and intricate details. A silicone rubber mold was then made, capturing every micro-detail, and a wax model was crafted using the chasing wax process.
The wax model was dipped in ceramic slurry to form a durable shell, which underwent the "lost wax process" to prepare for casting. Molten bronze was poured into the ceramic shell, cooled, and freed from its casing. Finally, Vineesh’s skilled team refined the bronze sculpture with precision, readying it for patination.
