To maintain the prolonged patina finish and fully enjoy the beauty and tranquility of your bronze sculpture, we recommend following these care guidelines:
Do's
Dust Regularly: Use a soft, clean cloth or brush to gently remove dust from the sculpture.
Clean Spills Immediately: If any liquid (milk, tea, coffee, etc.) accidentally spills on the sculpture, wipe it off quickly with a cloth and clean the surface with warm water. Allow it to dry thoroughly.
Handle with Care: Always use a cloth or gloves when lifting or moving the sculpture. This prevents the wax coating from being tampered with, ensuring the longevity of the patina finish.
Don'ts
Avoid Liquid Rituals: Do not perform abhishekams with liquids such as milk, water, oil, curd, or honey. These can damage the wax coating, exposing the metal to acidic reactions, which may lead to discoloration and oxidation.
Limit Bare-Hand Touching: Avoid touching the sculpture frequently with bare hands. The natural sweat and oils from your skin are acidic and can react with the metal, altering the patina.
Keep Out of Direct Sunlight: This sculpture is designed for indoor display and should not be placed in direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Extended UV exposure may affect the antique finish and degrade the metal’s surface.
By following these simple steps, you can preserve the timeless elegance of your bronze masterpiece for years to come.
In the unlikely event that your sculpture is damaged during transit, Vneesh's Galerie takes full responsibility for replacing your order at no additional cost. Creating Prakata Krishna was a meticulous process, taking nearly sixty (60) days of dedication to sculpt the masterpiece. It began with crafting the original sculpture from polymer clay—building the armature, setting the posture and expression, defining major features, and refining every detail to achieve the final clay model.
To produce a wax replica, a silicone rubber mold was created from the clay model, ensuring every intricate detail and expression was perfectly preserved. Hot wax was then poured into the hollow mold and carefully refined through the chasing wax process, allowing it to set and maintain the desired precision.
The next stage involved preparing the ceramic mold for the bronze casting. The wax model was coated in layers of ceramic slurry to build a strong ceramic shell. This shell then underwent the “lost wax process”, where the wax was melted and drained, leaving behind a durable, hollow ceramic shell. Each ceramic shell was rigorously tested for strength and quality before advancing to the next step.
Molten bronze was poured into the heated ceramic shell and left to cool and solidify. Once hardened, the ceramic shell was carefully chiseled and broken away, revealing the bronze form of Prakata Krishna. Vineesh’s skilled technical team then worked meticulously to refine the bronze surface, ensuring every detail was flawless. The final step involved patination, bringing the sculpture to life with its characteristic finish.
